Privacy at Otium

Otium helps people with a craft build and run a small online business. This notice explains what we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We collect the account details you give us, such as your name and email address, plus the ideas, notes, files, product details, and other instructions you choose to put into Otium. We also store the sites, content, orders, and customer records you create through the service.

When you connect a provider, we receive the identifiers and access credentials needed for the connection. For Instagram this can include your professional account ID, username, profile details, webhook events, and a token used to perform actions you approved. We do not ask for your Meta password.

We receive billing and subscription status from Stripe. Stripe handles payment-card details; Otium does not store full card numbers. We may collect basic device, log, and usage information needed to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate you, build and host your sites, process purchases, deliver products, send messages you request, run approved provider actions, provide support, measure reliability, and prevent abuse. We use your instructions to generate the drafts and assets you ask Otium to prepare.

Provider tokens are used only for the connected account and actions you authorize. You can disconnect a provider from the dashboard or ask us to remove its connection.

Service providers

Otium uses infrastructure and specialist providers to operate the service. Depending on the feature you use, information may be processed by Convex, Cloudflare R2, Stripe, Resend, Meta, PostHog, Z.ai, or Google Gemini. We send only what is needed for the requested feature and keep provider credentials on the server side.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service and its users, or as part of a business transfer where appropriate safeguards apply.

Retention and your choices

We keep information while your account or a service you use is active, and for as long as needed for security, accounting, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Backups may retain deleted data for a limited period before they expire.

You can access and update account information in the dashboard, disconnect provider accounts, unsubscribe from non-essential email, or request deletion. See the data-deletion instructions.
